Treatments
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a time-tested, safe, natural and drug-free health care system that can provide immediate relief and long-lasting benefits. It is relatively painless and most people find the treatments very relaxing.
Acupuncture is safe and effective for people of all ages regardless of their stage of life.
For children, acupressure is often used but acupuncture itself may be used to quickly resolve symptoms such as high fever, sore throat and digestive disorders. Either acupuncture or acupressure may be used for pain, digestive issues, poor sleep, poor physical and/ or mental development and much more. Kids respond very well to treatment and the needling is done quickly.

Chinese Medicine
Chinese Medicine is a holistic medical system that has been practised in Asia for more than 3000 years. It uses a unique whole body approach to health care.
Chinese Medicine aims to identify the root cause of symptoms and disease and treat the overall body pattern. For this reason Chinese medicine can be effectively applied to treat a wide variety of health concerns.
I assess my patient during an in-depth consultation and determine where the imbalance in the body’s organs and meridian energy system is originating, then uses the appropriate therapeutic modality to restore the balance.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle and very relaxing form of bodywork.
The Craniosacral system consists of the membranes and fluids that surround the central nervous system from the cranium (skull), to the sacrum (tailbone) as well as interconnected membranes throughout the body.
Any type of imbalance or restriction in these areas can lead to a variety of sensory, motor, or neurological dysfunctions in the body.
It involves very gentle manipulation for remedying distortions in the structure and function throughout the systems.
A practitioner is able to “listen” with their hands to what is called the cranial rhythm, which runs throughout our bodies and helps guide to areas of disfunction or health.
What can it treat?
CST can help a wide range of ailments such as headaches and migraines, pain syndromes, TMJ, stress, emotional issues, insomnia, etc. It works by supporting the body’s ability to free up restrictions and heal from physical or emotional traumas that may have occurred anywhere in the body.
Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine aims to eliminate the root of a disease rather than just its symptoms, thus achieving a state that is truly disease free. These medicinals help stimulate the body’s and mind’s natural healing potential and balances the body’s systems for lasting wellness. The herbs can be successfully used to treat a very wide range of conditions which include:
Gastrointestinal disorders, skin diseases, Gynecological conditions, fatigue, rheumatological and pain conditions, respiratory conditions, psychological conditions, allergies and more.
Used correctly, herbs are safe for children, during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, before and after surgery, for the young and old.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Counselling
Mainstream medicine does not emphasize the significance of poor nutrition as a major cause of a wide range of health disorders. Although most people are aware of the benefits of sound nutrition, the range of conflicting information available to the consumer is often confusing. I believe each individual has personal needs when it comes to food and nutrition. We will together work at discovering food options that you digest with ease and support you to feel well.
Sometimes you may not be sure what lifestyle choices will help increase and maintain good health. Whether it be an exercise or stretching plan, meditation, self care ideas, stress management or other concern, we will find things you can easily do in your daily life that will make you feel happier and healthier, help increase your energy and focus and give you more ease in body and mind.
Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a whole body treatment that also helps with stress, digestion and sleep so you will look better in part because you will feel better.
Cosmetic acupuncture is specifically designed to improve facial appearance by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improving facial muscle tone, and rejuvenating dull, lifeless, or aging skin. Through the micro-stimulation of points on the face, natural collagen and elastin production is built up. This leaves the face more supple and smooth, while minimizing fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging. Cosmetic acupuncture can also be used to treat acne, rosacea, and dark circles under the eyes.
Treatments with Gabrielle Steinberg include a combination of acupuncture on the face and body, gentle gwasha and cupping to stimulate better skin health as well as improve blood and lymph circulation.
Facial Acupuncture Benefits
As a form of natural medicine, facial acupuncture’s benefits are cumulative, delivering overall rejuvenation beyond the face.Treatment benefits may include:
- Elimination of fine lines and reduction in the length and depth of wrinkles
- Decreased facial puffiness and acne
- Improved facial muscle tone and skin texture with tighter pores
- Reduction of sagging around the eyes, cheeks, chin, and neck
